Rayonier Announces MDF Sale Agreement

Rayonier announced today that it has entered into an agreement to sell its medium-density-fiberboard (MDF) business in New Zealand to Dongwha Hong Kong International Limited for $US40 million. Between January and April 2005, U.S. solid wood product exports were valued at $2.0 billion, an increase of 3.6 percent from the same period last year. Wood exports are forecast to reach $5.9 billion in 2005, a $200 million increase over last year’s level.
